Business rates liability order

A liability (court) order is granted by the magistrates' court. The order allows us to take any or all of the following enforcement action:

• A referral to Jacobs bailiffs (the council's bailiff provider) for distraint (£ costs incurred)
• Bankruptcy/winding up petition
• Committal to prison (sole traders,partnerships only, £ costs incurred)

If you do not make an arrangement for payment, or fail to keep to an arrangement made, we will take action to enforce payment without further notice.
