About The Hart of Hair Salon
Based in Uttoxeter, The Hart of Hair salon is located at the rear of the White Hart Hotel. With free parking outside, they have also just opened a brand new beauty salon called The Beauty Barn! This has now created a one-stop shop for all your hair and beauty needs.
Run by Jen Reynolds and Louis Birch, they are business partners who set up the salon just over twelve months ago and have enjoyed a hugely successful first year! They offer all hair services such as cuts, colours, including the popular balayage style, along with hair extensions. They stock the popular Beauty Works brand of hair extensions which are suitable for people looking to thicken their hair, or who are looking for a quick way to add a few inches in length.
You can also buy your favourite hair products from their range in store. The best-selling items include Olaplex shampoo and conditioner along with Moroccan Argan Oil products.
The knowledgeable staff can help you select the most suitable products for your hair type – and for those who may suffer from frizzy hair, they even offer anti-humidity treatments in advance of jetting off on your holidays!
They have a friendly team waiting to greet you including Maddie and Emily, both fully qualified hairdressers who are key members of the team. Along with The Beauty Barn, they are now a team of seven and going from strength-to-strength.
Louis explained: "The feeling here is warm, welcoming and friendly, with a fun atmosphere. We are a great team – professional but with a laid-back feel."
This is backed up by customer Diane Walkman who said: "The team go out of their way to accommodate people and they are so friendly. I’ve been coming here since the salon opened and would highly recommend it to anyone."
As the range of services on offer has expanded since the opening of The Beauty Barn, customers can now take advantage of nail treatments, eyebrow treatments, waxing and over the coming months a trained nurse will be coming in on a monthly basis to offer Botox treatments.
Louis explained that: "Small businesses are at the heart of the town in Uttoxeter. We would encourage people to go out there and support small businesses, not just on Small Business Saturday, but beyond that too. We can’t let the internet take over – if we don’t use our local businesses and support our local economy, then businesses won’t survive. For example, our website was designed by one of our clients, Web Goddess, who is another small business based in the town and our uniforms are supplied by The Box and Beyond. We are a small business but we are also playing our part to support other small businesses where we can.
"We’ve had a really good first year and have been a far busier than we could have ever imagined, the support from local people has been fantastic. The team are amazing and I would like to thank our customers for their continued support."
The Hart of Hair have also been successful in applying for grant funding as part of the Boosting Business Programme run by East Staffordshire Borough Council. The grant funding scheme is designed to help existing businesses with their growth plans, or to give financial support for those looking to set up their own businesses.
