Green Flag Awards

I am proud to announce the Council is celebrating after receiving a Green Flag Award for Bramshall Road Park. After two years that have seen our parks and green spaces play a vital role for people through lockdowns as a place to relax, exercise and meet friends and family safely, the news that Bramshall Road Park has achieved the Green Flag Award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams that make these green spaces a great space that everyone can enjoy.

The Council was also awarded a Green Flag for another park in Burton, Stapenhill Gardens, a well known garden space which enjoys a very prominent visual position adjacent to St Peters bridge.

This is really good news for the town and I am very pleased the work of volunteers has paid off. I know our open spaces are really important and have been an essential part of people’s lives in the depths of the Coronavirus pandemic. Alongside Uttoxeter Councillors, I shall continue to work for more of these spaces and better quality areas for local people to enjoy
