Funding Available for Businesses Across East Staffordshire

Businesses across East Staffordshire are being urged to take advantage of the Business Growth Programme. The scheme has £4m left and will end in September 2018.

395 applications to the scheme have been approved to date with over £11m of grants awarded to businesses across the West Midlands, including just under £500k to East Staffordshire based businesses.

DMN logistics is one business that has benefitted from the scheme. It provides a wide range of vehicle logistics, from enclosed trailer transportation, vehicle storage to vehicle services and vehicle logistics recruitment.  One of the main challenges for DMN Logistics was accessing funding and finance to grow the business.

Through the Business Growth Programme, DMN Logistics received grant funding to the value of £27,000, which supported the growth of the company and helped create new full-time roles.

Nick Chadaway, Managing Director of DMN Logistics, said: “As a result of this funding, we achieved rapid growth that created 4 full time roles for us in the business”.

Part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and supported by East Staffordshire Borough Council, a key partner in the scheme, the Business Growth Programme is designed to strengthen the local economy.

The ERDF Business Growth Programme is available to businesses in East Staffordshire, with grants available from between £10- £167k. For further information please contact the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Growth Hub on 0800 032 3488/ info@gbslepgrowthhub.co.uk
