As part of Blood Pressure UK’s Know Your Numbers campaign, East Staffordshire Borough Council are offering two blood pressure test stations where residents can get free tests and advice.
It is estimated that eight million people in the UK are unaware they are at risk of a stroke or heart attack because of their blood pressure.
Residents from across East Staffordshire are being urged to stop by a ‘Pressure Station’ during September to have a free blood pressure check.
Testing stations include:
- Coopers Square Shopping Centre - Thursday 13th September 10-2pm
- Uttoxeter Leisure Centre - Thursday 13th September 9-11am & 2-5pm
The campaign is the UK’s biggest blood pressure testing event and this year’s aim is to highlight that there are eight million people in the UK that are living with high blood pressure but not being treated for it – both young and old – putting them at risk of stroke and heart attacks .
