Councillor Colin Whittaker, Deputy Leader for Cultural Services said: “Love Your Local Market is a celebration of the UK markets industry that takes place annually over a fortnight in May. By encouraging and supporting people who are trading for the first time, or developing a new business idea, the ‘Love Your Local Market’ fortnight helps markets and market traders to become more successful by increasing footfall and generating economic activity”.
