A smoothie ride for National Fitness Day

East Staffordshire Borough Council will be joining forces with Burton Albion Community Trust to provide free activities for local residents to help celebrate National Fitness Day 2018 - the most active day of the year.

Taking place on Wednesday 26th September, National Fitness Day 2018 will see a huge range of free events and taster sessions take place across the country.

To start the most active day of the year, members and non-members alike will be able to take part in a free circuit training class from 7.30am-8.15am at Meadowside Leisure Centre.

Local residents and shoppers can also call into Coopers Square Shopping Centre between 10:00am-2:00pm to cycle themselves a free juice, on an all new smoothie bike! Staff from Meadowside Leisure Centre will be on hand to offer advice on getting healthy and active this autumn.

Uttoxeter Leisure Centre will be finishing things off by offering another free circuit training class between 3.15pm-4.15pm.

Throughout the UK, more than 20,000 free events will take place in gyms, leisure centres, parks, high streets, schools, universities and workplaces as over five million people lace up their trainers and embrace being active for the day.
