Bailiffs at a Barton Fishing Pool spotted an individual depositing bags of waste into the refuse bins provided for fishing club member’s use. The individual responsible had transported the waste to the site in the back of a van and was observed by the Bailiffs filling up the bins. The Bailiffs subsequently reported the incident to East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Enforcement Team.
Enforcement Officers undertook an investigation and interviewed an individual who admitted the offence. On this occasion a formal written warning was issued. The Council would like to send a clear message to would-be fly tippers in the Borough that if evidence of their identity can be obtained Enforcement Officers will take action against them.
