A Council Spokesperson said: “As part of the contract that was recently awarded by the Council to Everyone Active for the delivery of sports and leisure services across the Borough, it is intended that the outlying sports pitches at these locations are leased to the incoming operator to allow them to continue the administration of community bookings for the pitches currently administered by the Council.
“The health and wellbeing of residents across the borough is important to the Council and we will continue to ensure the sustainability of these facilities and safeguard them for future generations.
“Public use and access to these areas will not be affected.”
