Support for a Growing Business Community in East Staffordshire

Budding entrepreneurs are being urged to take up the offer of high quality, bespoke and free specialist advice to help start and grow their business.

As data reveals a huge increase in the number of new businesses in East Staffordshire, with 730 new incorporations registered in 2018, there is more of a need than ever for the Enterprise for Success service.

A participant on the scheme, Janine Smith has been building her own success story. Janine created her own business providing exercise for the elderly and less abled, Positive Movers, following the advice and guidance provided through the local programme: “I would recommend ‘Enterprise for Success’ to everyone, it has been such a support to me. Before finding them there was no one out there to help me.  I felt like I couldn’t really speak to anyone else because all businesses are different and they all have a different pathway – mine’s unique.

"I was at a stumbling block and I was so glad that I got hold of Enterprise for Success, the staff are lovely and the advice was absolutely fantastic.  They’ve helped me to mould my business and put me on the right path.

“I went on a free two day workshop, focusing on marketing and how to get your ideas down on paper. It also covered tax and the money side of things which was completely alien to me.  I’m still receiving support 12 months down the line and I can always get in contact with my adviser, either face to face or over the phone.  I’m now looking to expand my classes and bring on board new instructors.”

Part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the ‘Enterprise for Success’ scheme offers free personalised business advice, guiding clients through the journey of starting a company and providing those looking to grow their businesses  with the tools to succeed and develop their own success story.

The next free workshops in East Staffordshire are taking place on 27th and 28th March 2019 at the National Brewery Centre, Burton upon Trent from 10am.
