The Statutes Fair, operated by Pat Collins Fun Fairs, will be returning to Burton upon Trent this year, taking place on both Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th October in the Market Place and the surrounding areas of High Street, Lichfield Street and New Street.
The Fair will be open to the public from 12:00pm until 11:00pm on both Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th October.
Fairground staff will arrive on site at 2:00pm on Sunday 2nd October to begin building the fair.
Road and car park closures will be in position from 12:00pm on Sunday 2nd October until 6:00am on Wednesday 5th October, allowing the funfair to close, and clear, and the streets to be swept and allow normal business to continue.
Road closures include:
- Market Place – Closed to all traffic
- High Street - Closed to through traffic from its junction with Station Street to Lichfield Street.
- New Street - Closed to through traffic from its junction with High Street to its junction with Union Street
- Lichfield Street - Closed to traffic from its junction with High Street to its junction with Bond Street
- Abbey Street - Closed to traffic from its junction with Lichfield Street to its junction with Fleet Street
Pat Collins Fun Fairs have been associated with Burton upon Trent for over 100 years. The Statues Fair is the modern day successor to the traditional labour hiring fair that was held in the town each year on the first Monday and Tuesday after Michaelmas.
