East Staffordshire Borough Council has today confirmed that Burton’s Christmas Lights Switch On will return to the Market Place on Sunday 27th November 2022 from 2pm until 7pm.
The much loved annual switch on will include a wide range of family entertainment, activities, food & drink stalls and fireworks. The Market Hall will also be open, hosting a festive market alongside regular stall holders.
This year’s Christmas Lights are set to be expanded to include new additions along New Street and Union Street, which when combined with a programme of other Christmas in Burton events, is hoped will encourage more residents into the town to support local businesses this festive season.
Cllr Bev Ashcroft, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Cultural Development, said: “I am pleased to see plans for such wonderful Christmas events in Burton this year, providing all residents a much needed celebration of the festive period. I hope to see many people enjoying the numerous activities planned for this November, in the run up to the holiday season.”
