The previous Mayor of East Staffordshire, Cllr Patricia Ackroyd, presented cheques to her chosen charities on Monday 5th September.
YMCA Burton and Cancer Research East Staffordshire both received £3,189.64 from the fundraising events held from September 2021 through to May 2022. Cllr Ackroyd was the first Mayor to hold her Civic Service and her Charity Ball in 2021 as her term in office was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cllr Patricia Ackroyd said: “I was delighted to have raised so much money in such a short space of time and I wish both charities all the best for the future.”
