East Staffordshire Borough Council is working alongside Burton YMCA to support the delivery of 200 new home starter packs across the YMCA’s three sites: George Williams House, Milton House, and Reconnect/James Court.
The new home starter packs contain a number of useful homeware items, such as new bedding and kitchenware. Food parcels and cutlery are also supplied to those who need them, as well as toiletries.
Burton YMCA staff ensure new residents that require these starter packs are provided with them upon arrival at their new accommodation.
Cllr Simon Slater, Cabinet Member for Communities and Regulatory Services, said: “It was great to see first-hand the support Burton YMCA is providing to its residents. These starter packs will provide some additional resource and hopefully comfort to new residents as they recover from any difficulties they have been experiencing.”
