This consultation document was produced as a way to re-engage the public and other stakeholders in the plan preparation process following a delay following the Issues & Options in 2007. It sought views on three broad, strategic options related to different possible approaches to the location of Greenfield development required to meet the development requirements in the borough.
The document included references to potential Greenfield development sites based on the SHLAA and other information held by the council, but the document did not identify a preferred option.
The consultation document also sought to provide a reminder of the issues and key messages provided through earlier stages of the plan-making process, including the vision, and other elements which have since fed through into the later versions of the emerging Local Plan such as the Preferred Option Local Plan and the Pre-Submission Local Plan.
