Branston Neighbourhood Plan gets a “Yes” Vote at Referendum

On Thursday July 23rd voters chose to say “yes” to the Neighbourhood Plan becoming part of the Borough’s Development Plan, to be used in deciding planning applications in the Parish. 80.5% of those voting said “Yes”  (599 people) and 19.5% (145 people) voted “No”.  There was a 13.9% turnout, which was reasonable given the geographical extent of the parish and the difficulties of engaging the considerable urban population of the Parish.
